the shop carburetors parts tech tips

We have the most sophisticated testing equipment available to electronically test any type, make or model of gasoline fuel injector you have.

The first test is to determine whether or not the injector is electrically sound. The coil winding is tested to make sure it is well within specifications.

We can then test the flow rate and spray pattern of the injectors to see if your injectors are delivering the proper amount of fuel in the proper spray pattern. If they are not, we will remove the dirty, clogged filter from the injector and begin a series of procedures on the injectors.

Once that is done, a leak-down test ensures that the pintle within the injector has the ability to seal off the seat and prevent unwanted fuel from leaking past it. Then we will ultrasonically clean the injector, at which time the seat as well as the pintle will be removed of all unwanted fuel deposits and varnishes that rob your vehicle of its performance, fuel economy, and idle quality -- not to mention your piece of mind.

The injectors get flow tested one last time to ensure that their flow rates and spray patterns have been restored. We will then install new filter baskets in each injector and a new set of O-rings will be supplied to ensure proper sealing when you are reinstalling.

We have a complete line of fuel injection components available for all makes and models of cars, including: both multi-port and throttle body fuel injectors, idle air control valves, mass air flow sensors, baro sensors, fuel pressure regulators, throttle position sensors, cold start injectors, and oxygen sensors . . . If it affects the fuel system, we have it.
